A diverse and inclusive campus enhances the living, learning, and working environment for every member of our community. This year for #Commit2Witt we are proud to feature two funds that support Wittenberg's commitment to excellence in diversity and inclusion.
The McClain Center for Diversity and Inclusion Fund – Created in 2020, this fund was established to help fund and enhance programming for the McClain Center for Diversity and Inclusion. This fund may be used for, but not limited to, student programming, leadership development, and/or others areas of need that have been identified. In celebration of Wittenberg's 175 years, Board of Directors member Wendy Ford ('76) and her husband Eddie ('75) challenge fellow alumni to support this worthy cause with a 1:1 match up to $3000.
Concerned Black Students (CBS) Scholarship – The intended purpose of the scholarship is to assist deserving African American students who have shown demonstrated need, with preference given to students who are active in the CBS organization. These funds may also be used to help defray the costs of CBS students attending leadership conferences. Board of Directors member John Shumate ’99 challenges others to Tiger Up on #Commit2Witt by offering a 1:1 match up to $3000.
